it's very pristine and alien out with all the snow, and it was even moreso in the woods at this time of night with the sky about the same color as the snow and everything in sharp contrasts
i saw some other footprints on the path probably from earlier today (yesterday?) as they had been almost entirely obscured
i've heard that we're supposed to have another six inches or so by tomorrow, that for most people i guess that's technically just a few hours away
i was really quite astounded with how beautiful the woods were
the snow had been falling in small fairly wet flakes which stuck to everything
and as such there's a decent layer of snow perched on just about every available surface, even the most frail and thin branches
very pretty, i felt almost like i was ruining it tracking my footprints through
it's incredibly bright as well
in like ambient light, from all the bright lights we have around campus reflected into as well as diffused in the air by the snow
everything's kinda pinkish, it's wierd
very subdued pallete
also, extraordinarily quiet
you could hear the wind moving through the forest before it got there and after it blew through in the rustling and whatnot
it was startling the first time i heard it, i was actually like "what is that!?" for a second
dunno if it's any louder from the snow or maybe it's jsut trees in winter oand I haven't noticed before or what
ah well in other news i'm almost done coding my CS project
which is good, but i still have the huge english research paper to do, bleh
my topic is why evolution is right etc so it shouldn't be too much of a struggle
because it is right etc
blah blah
i think that's it, i'm going to get some sleep and hopefully wake up at 12:00 tomorrow
later
